List of Fast Travel Points & Hubs in Forza Horizon 6

In Forza Horizon 6, fast travel has been refined for the massive, Japan-based map. The system keeps the familiar mechanics from previous Horizon titles but now focuses more on exploration, progression, and your Collection Journal. Whether you want to jump across Tokyo streets or drift down a mountain pass, understanding fast travel points is key to saving time and credits.

Fast Travel Points & Hubs

FH6 offers multiple types of fast travel locations that you can unlock as you explore:

  • Festival Outposts: These are the main hubs across Japan. Building and upgrading them with Festival Wristbands turns them into free or discounted fast travel points. Early hubs include the main festival site and regional sites like Tokyo City.
  • Player Houses: Residential properties you can buy and customize. Purchasing a house unlocks additional fast travel options, and some houses act as central bases for accessing remote areas of the map. For example, the abandoned estate offered by Mei serves as an early-game base.
  • Car Meets & Social Hubs: Scattered across cities and mountain passes, these locations often serve as convenient fast travel nodes and meeting points for multiplayer sessions.
  • Legend Island: A late-game destination unlocked after earning the Gold Wristband. This island functions as a hub for special events and fast travel, giving you a unique destination beyond the main map.

Unlocking Fast Travel Anywhere

Initially, you can only fast travel to unlocked festival outposts, purchased houses, or discovered social hubs. To gain full access to all 673 roads on the map:

  1. Progress Through Wristbands: Complete qualifier or expedition events to unlock festival properties or houses.
  2. Purchase a House: Buying a key player house allows fast travel to any unlocked road on the map.
  3. Collection Journal Progression: Completing stamps and exploration tasks expands fast travel convenience and options.

This system encourages players to explore the world instead of instantly teleporting everywhere, making early-game drives meaningful.

Reducing Fast Travel Costs

Fast travel initially costs a substantial amount of credits, but FH6 includes ways to permanently reduce it:

  • Fast Travel Boards: Hidden throughout Japan, these breakable boards can be found in alleys, rooftops, mountain passes, and urban areas. Each board you smash lowers your travel fee.
  • Free Travel: Smashing all 50 boards on the map reduces the cost to zero, letting you fast travel anywhere without spending a single credit.
  • Collection Journal Stamps: Completing tasks like photographing landmarks or murals can indirectly improve fast travel by unlocking more convenient access points and rewarding stamps.

The combination of exploration, houses, and board smashing makes fast travel a rewarding side goal rather than just a convenience.

Tips for Efficient Fast Travel

  • Drive through new areas early to reveal map zones for initial fast travel eligibility.
  • Target festival outposts and houses near your regular routes to minimize credit use.
  • Keep an eye out for high-altitude boards or hidden alley boards — these often give the biggest discounts.
  • Balance exploring for boards with collecting stamps in your Collection Journal for optimal progression and fast travel options.
